The client, E for Energy, is an energy consultancy firm in the UK. The firm primarily operates by catering to companies in finding appropriate and effective energy contract options. This includes assisting companies operating in various regions of the UK with energy procurement services for businesses, providing consultancy on improving energy efficiency through effective energy management solutions, and advising clients on maintaining compliance with legal requirements regarding energy use and emissions.
Eforenergy.co.uk plays an important role as a lead generation tool and an educational resource to help business owners identify potential partners in their search for dependable energy solutions. Due to its extensive industry knowledge and extensive familiarity with market dynamics, the client wanted to improve its presence on the Internet by enhancing its online credibility so that it could connect with a larger number of businesses actively looking for an expert in energy consulting.
Business Needs
E for Energy contacted our team with the goal of enhancing their digital footprint and generating a steady stream of dependable, high-quality leads via organic channels. While the company had positioned itself as a leader in energy consultancy, they were experiencing a number of challenges in relation to digital marketing that were stunting their growth.
The company’s site attracted very little search result visibility on Google using competitive and location-specific keywords in the UK; organic traffic was unpredictable and high-intent keywords that could correspond to qualified leads were not being displayed in the top of search engine results. The overall lack of proper SEO structure on the existing site content was also preventing customers from discovering the site or interacting with the individual pages.
In addition, there was no planned social media strategy for the company to establish brand authority/credibility in the competitive marketplace.
The website lacked a proper content management system that streamlined the overall message of the company. Due to lack of organic traffic many opportunities were missed. The need for a data-driven and focused content management strategy for growth seemed evident.
Solutions Provided
Once we had a complete understanding of the client’s objectives and issues, we created a comprehensive strategy that included SEO, content development and management, and social media management. In this way, we made it possible for all of the client’s digital channels to work together in increasing visibility, building trust and generating inbound leads.
SEO Strategy & Execution
Our team used standard tools for both technical and on-page SEO audits to assess gaps in performance and identify opportunities for improvement. The information obtained during the audits, in conjunction with extensive keyword research (business energy services, consultancy-related terms and location searches throughout the UK), was then used to create keyword-rich pages for the site.
The pages we optimised previously include Service pages and the new “Areas We service” pages, which allow us to target additional search traffic opportunities. We improved the on-page elements of these pages, including Meta Titles, Meta Descriptions, Header tags, Internal Links and the overall Structure of Content, which helps improve the search engines’ understanding of the page as well as creating a better user experience.
We were able to monitor and measure results through analytics (Google Search Console and Analyst), and then refine our strategy based on the results. Additionally, we were able to remove any toxic backlinks and continue to build the backlink profile of the site through link building.

As part of increasing our search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, we wrote high quality, SEO optimised (i.e., optimally written for the search engine algorithms) content that met our business goals and target audience’s search intent. Result
E for Energy achieved substantial and measurable growth as a result of the combined SEO, content, and social media strategy. The company experienced an increase in website sessions from 484 to 3,144 (553% increase) representing a significant growth in traffic overall. Additionally, the contribution of organic traffic is now greater than 15% (30%). The rise in organic traffic is a result of increased visibility on the search engines and better performance on the keywords.
The rise in the number of engagement sessions from 184 to 950 (517%) indicates that the users are more engaged with the website and that the content is relevant to the users. Overall, the organic engagement rate that the website was able to attain was around 58%, which indicates that the audiences were more aligned with the content on the website.
Finally, the number of keyword rankings rose from 3 to 47, which has significantly increased the visibility of the website on the search engines for key business terms. Moreover, the number of backlinks rose from 53 to 3,105, which has increased the credibility of the website in the industry and has also improved the performance of the website over time using SEO.
